Is Hospice or Palliative Care Right for You?

Don’t make this important decision alone. Our hospice and palliative care experts are here to support and guide you through this process.

Compassionate care. When it matters most.

It’s simple. We treat others the way that we’d want ourselves or our loved ones to be treated – especially during vulnerable times in our lives. This attitude, this ethos is the ever-present thread that weaves our organization and all of its members together.

When it comes to end-of-life medical support or care for those with an acute or advanced illness, your care, without question, matters greatly.

From the expertise from our medical staff to our volunteers with a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment in their work, our team makes it their mission to give the utmost care and attention to the lives of everyone who crosses the Care of the Piedmont threshold.

Let us carry you through this process – because you should never walk alone.

What type of care is available?

Care of the Piedmont offers a spectrum of both hospice and palliative care based on the specific care plan for individual patients. Our team of experts is ready to discern what type of care is best for each patient based on their medical history.

What’s the difference between hospice and palliative care?

  • Hospice care actively enhances the quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families through personalized support, including pain management and psychosocial care, either at home or in a hospice facility.

  • Palliative care (supportive care) is specialized medical, nursing, social, and spiritual care that reduces the symptoms, pain, and stress of people living with a chronic or advanced illness.

These services are appropriate for patients of any age, at any stage of an illness and can be provided at the same time as curative treatment.
